Catechism
We are now accepting registrations for Catechism and Sacrament Preparation (First Reconciliation and Confirmation only). Registrations will be accepted until noon on September 27th; all registrations received after that date will be deferred to our 2027–2028 catechetical year.
For the 2026–2027 Faith Formation year, Catechism classes will be offered for Grades 1 & 2 (combined), Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 6.
Catechism classes begin on October 3rd and take place Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Once you have registered your child for our program, our Catechism Coordinator will send you the full program schedule.
We look forward to beginning this new year of faith formation and learning together!
2026-2027 Catechetical Year Fees
Ongoing Sunday Catechism Classes: $40 per child, $30 for each additional child
Sacrament Preparation: $60 per child, $50 for each additional child
At this time, we are only able to accept payments by cash or cheque. Please make cheques payable to St. Gerard Parish.
Become a Catechist!
We are in need of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Catechism team. As a Catechist or Catechism Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and educate the young people of our parish, helping them to deepen their understanding and love of the faith. If you would like volunteer with others who are passionate about sharing the faith, and would like to join our team of catechists, please contact the parish office.
